Being gluten-free, I have gotten used to lettuce wrapped food. I actually don’t want a bun on my burger anymore because the gluten-free ones in the market are not that good and the bread makes it way too filling. Burgers are really tasty when you mix the spices into the burger rather than just sprinkling on the outside.
1 lb Organic Grass Fed Ground Beef – 85%
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground Pepper
1 head Green Leaf Lettuce Leaves
1 Red Onion
knead all the dry spices into the ground beef being careful not over mix. Separate into 4 equal size balls and pat each ball into a patty.
Pull lettuce apart until you have 8 leaves. Rinse and pat dry or dry in salad spinner.
Slice Tomatoes, red onion and avocado.
Grill burgers over medium-high heat until lightly seared on both sides. Reduce heat to medium and grill another 3-4 minuted until cooked through.
Bring it Together
Place one lettuce leaf on place, top with burger and all the fixings. Add mayonnaise, mustard or ketchup to your liking.
